When you build a script involving a tense situation, you may notice that the bot still delivers even the sharpest lines in an even, calm tone. This breaks realism and reduces the effectiveness of skill practice.
Below, we look at why this happens and how to make the text more emotional using punctuation marks.
The script editor currently does not have settings for controlling the bot’s speech rate, volume, or intonational pauses.
The system analyzes phrases and punctuation marks inside quotation marks. For example, a period makes the tone calm.
To add emotionality — use exclamation marks.
To make the bot deliver a line with emotional tension, add three or more exclamation marks at the end of each phrase.
⚠️ Exclamation marks must be placed inside the quotation marks, not after them and not in the instruction field. Only this way will the system recognize them.
🤓 Example:
You are an HR professional and want to prepare for a difficult conversation with an employee who is constantly late. You need to understand the reason while avoiding provoking a conflict.
In such a situation, you can add emotionality to the bot — so that it reacts realistically, like a real person under pressure.
🤓 Here’s how it might look in a bot’s response:
“If you feel pressure from the other side, respond emotionally: ‘God, I’m so sick of you!!!! I do so much for the team!!!!! I’m late a couple of times — and suddenly it’s a huge deal!!!!! I’m so tired of this!!!!!"’
Such training will help you practice difficult scenarios and learn to stay calm even in tense conversations.
